Trading What I See — The blog is an intraday look at the markets I trade, and how I try to trade them, covering the period from August 2006 until July 2007.
Don’t assume I actually took all the trades as shown. Although that is my goal and I did take many of them, I mark up the charts for my benefit - this is the way I should have traded. I even mark up charts on days when I was not trading. These don’t show ALL the trades - just what I can see as key trades or ideas for each day. By reviewing them often, it helps me to recognize a similar situation the next time it occurs.
Right now I’m only trading the Russell 2000 e-mini futures, and most of the charts are based on three minute bars. But ALL of the techniques I use work on any market - any timeframe. When I’m swing trading the only thing that changes is the length of the actual bars. I “clean up” the charts before I post them, removing indicators, notes, and lines that cause clutter.
Eventually I may add a few pages showing what programs and indicators I depend on, and the types of setup I’m trying to find. But most of this you’ll discover just by looking at the charts and my comments. In the meantime ….
Great trading,
Lowell
